Marisa Votapek
Marisa Votapek is currently pursuing a performance diploma in violin performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the instruction of Mark Kaplan. A native of Naples, Florida, Marisa began her musical studies at the age of four. As a young musician, she performed twice with the Naples Philharmonic as a winner of the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition. Marisa has performed with the New World Symphony, Aspen Chamber Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute, and the National Repertory Orchestra. She has performed in masterclasses with Joel Smirnoff, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Rachel Barton Pine, and Gil Shaham, among others. Ms. Votapek received her bachelor’s of music at Florida State University with Corinne Stillwell, as well as her master’s degree at Indiana University. Marisa often returns to Naples, where she continues to work with the Naples Philharmonic Youth Symphonia as a mentor to coach young musicians.
Rachel Mossburg
Always seeking a good adventure, violist Rachel Mossburg continually explores ways in which to nourish her musical wanderlust. She is an engaging performer, active chamber musician, has a love for teaching private lessons to youth, and enjoys pushing musical boundaries by playing genres of all types. Having come from a classical background, she is also passionate about supporting talented young composers and playing new works. Rachel is on an album produced by Navona Records, where she and a chamber quartet accompany vocalist Dr. Katherine Jolly. The work, “Absent an Adjustment,” is composed by Katherine Bodor. Rachel plays regularly with professional orchestras in the Midwest, including the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, and Owensboro Philharmonic Orchestra. As a soloist, she has had the privilege of playing in masterclasses for Pinchas Zukerman, Roberto Diaz, William Bolcolm. Outside of the classical music realm, she has played in various bands, and performed four years in a row for Down the Line at the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne, IN. These performances included works by David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Queen. Rachel is a recent graduate from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in the spring of 2020, under the tutelage of Stephen Wyrczynski. It is her goal to continue traveling and playing music of all varieties, connecting with other people through sharing the gift of music. Aside from music, Rachel enjoys a good cup of coffee, riding her motorcycle, yoga, spending time with friends, and playing with her cat Fiona.
Olivia Hunt
Cellist Olivia Hunt grew up outside of Atlanta, where she began her musical studies at the age of nine. Since picking up the cello, she has performed with a variety of ensembles including the Nashville Sinfonietta and Eschaton New Music Ensemble, taught private lessons at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, and spent a semester studying abroad at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She received her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music where she studied with Felix Wang and performed in masterclasses taught by artists such as Edgar Meyer, Jeffrey Lastrapes, Brandon Vamos, and Martha Baldwin. Her past summers have been spent at various festivals including the Vanderbilt Music Académie in Aix-en-Provence, France, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, National Music Festival, Cincinnati Young Artists Cello Workshop, Montecito International Music Festival, and the Brancaleoni International Music Festival. Currently, she is pursuing a masters degree at Indiana University under the instruction of Eric Kim.
